Important Dates and Times
  • May 16, 2026—deadline to submit entries via the Exhibit Registration Form
  • May 16, 2026—exhibit registration help available at Knob Prairie UCC in Enon--9:00 am–12:00 noon
  • May 27, 2026—early exhibit submissions may be dropped off at Sharing Stitches in Xenia--5:00–7:00 pm
  • May 28, 2026—exhibit submission day at Greene County Expo Center Assembly Hall in Xenia--10:00 am–12:00 noon
  • May 30, 2026—entry pick up after the show ends at GCEC Assembly Hall in Xenia--4:30–5:30 pm​
Exhibit Guidelines for Members
  • Entries must be created or owned by a current MVQG member in good standing.
  • Entries must be constructed of fabric, be a minimum of two layers, tied or quilted, and finished.
  • Entries displayed at the last two quilt shows are ineligible.
  • Entries MUST have a permanently attached label. Entries with labels that are only pinned will not be accepted.  A simple basted label is acceptable.  Minimum information on the label includes owner's name and quilt name. 
  • Entries are limited to six (6) per member not including Workshop and Challenge categories. Guild members may have multiple quilts in any one category.  Note that the Miami Valley Quilt Show committee may adjust the registered category if needed.
  • Entries must be picked up between 4:30 and 5:30 pm on the last day of the of the show. Entries not retrieved by 5:30 pm on Saturday, May 30 will incur a $50.00 per day, per person handling fee.
  • Entries will not be returned without the pink slips distributed at drop off.  Members may send a representative to pick up their entries. The representative must have the pink slips with their name and the member’s signature on the reverse side of the slips.
Exhibit Entry Categories
When submitting your entry form, you will need to select a category for each item you wish to submit. Please note size limits when selecting a category. Not sure what category to choose? Use your best judgement or consult a quilty friend for help. Have your questions ready to ask at the May MVQG meeting. All entries may be either hand or machine quilted.

Hand or machine pieced. Fabric choice and/or design should appeal to children.

Predominantly appliqued by hand or machine. Made to be used as a throw or on a bed.

Miniature Quilt
No minimum size, style or technique. Quilt must be composed of blocks no larger than 5".

Home Decor
Any item made for home decor. Must consist of three quilted layers of material. Includes pillows, table runners, placemats, and the like. Excludes bed quilts, wall hangings and throw quilts.

Wearable Art
Any article of clothing and/or accessories which consist of three quilted layers of material.  Examples are jackets, purses and totes.

Wholecloth
Entry must be a single piece of fabric for each the front and the back, no piecing. May be machine or hand quilted with the quilting as the dominant feature. May be any style and include subtle embellishments.

MVQG Challenges and Workshops
All challenge and workshop quilts from May 2024 to present. The challenges were Celebrate Your Birthday Month and Ladybug Petal Party. The workshops in this period were Plaidish with Kwilty Pleasures, Blue Ridge Love with Angela Huffman, Polar Bear FPP with Cassandra Beaver, and both Flock Around the Block and Bursting in Air with The Redneck Quilter.
